Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What are the driver requirements?

The primary renter must be at least 25-years old, have a valid driver's license and no major violations on their driving record. Additional drivers must be at least 25-years old, and present their valid driver's license in person at the time of unit pick-up.

Q. What are your Rental Center office hours?

You may check availability and reserve an RV by phone or in person, Monday through Saturday, 9am to 5pm.

Q. How do I pay for the rental?

All payments must be using a valid major credit card that's presented in person and imprinted with the name that matches the driver's license and listed on the contract as the primary renter or additional authorized driver. Payment by check is not accepted. This payment policy is strict with no exceptions.

Q. Where can I drive the units?

You can drive anywhere in the Continental US.

Q. How will I know how to operate all the appliances and electronics that an RV comes with?

First-time renters are encouraged to view our online instructional videos. A thorough walkthrough is provided upon checkout. Expect to spend approximately 45 mins for this walkthrough.

Q. Is a down payment or security deposit required?

Reservations require a non-refundable credit card payment of $500 for trailers and $1,000 for Motorhomes, which is deducted from the final rental charges.

Q. Do I provide my own insurance?

On trailer rentals, Renters must provide proof of insurance through their own auto/personal carrier. For Motorhomes, Renters can provide an insurance binder from their personal auto insurance carrier or obtain coverage online through MBA Insurance at the time of rental. Charges vary depending on the vehicle you choose and your choice of coverage.

Q. What cleaning options do I have when I return the RV?

The vehicle is expected to be returned "broom swept" clean and the black and grey water tanks emptied. If you prefer, we'll dump the tanks for you for a $50 fee.

The first 200 miles free then $0.25 cents per mile after.

Q. Can I smoke in the RV?

NO! SMOKING IS ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED.

Ladders on rental units are for use by Wheels RV technicians only. Customers are not allowed on roofs and will be held responsible for any roof or awning damage.

Q. What happens if I receive a traffic ticket or parking citation?

Customers are responsible for reporting and payment of all parking and traffic violations at rental termination. Non-reporting of parking and traffic violations breaches the Rental Contract.

Q. What can I expect for fuel economy with a Motorhome?

There are many contributing factors which determine the actual gas mileage you will get, but many renter's report 9-10 MPG.

Q. Are Motorhomes equipped with generators?

Yes. Generator usage is $3.50 per hour or $25 per day unlimited use. A running-time meter will determine useage. You can reduce run time by staying in locations that have electrical hookups and turning the generator off when you're not in the vehicle. A generator is only needed for the coach cabin A/C, microwave and electrical outlets. A generator is not necessary for normal vehicle operation.
